The museum encourages support for the care of our collection through monetary gifts that go towards safely maintaining, storing and caring for our collections. We also support the giving of works of art to our collection. Gifts of art from important artists, private collectors, and patrons from this region are considered after review. If you would like to express an interest in gifting to our art collection at Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art please contact Department Manager, Nicole Maria Evans, Curator of Exhibitions and Collections.
Bequests and Planned Gifts
If you would like to establish a bequest, or planned gift, through a donation to the Curatorial and Collections Department, but have questions about the museum and the collections we already hold please contact Nicole Maria Evans, Curator of Exhibitions and Collections.
A bequest is a provision in a will or living trust that directs funds or assets to the Museum. Bequests (specific, residuary, and contingent gifts made by will) are the most popular type of planned gift and are important to the success of the Museum. Your bequest expresses your lasting commitment to the Museum and its collections. A bequest to the Museum may also help you meet your financial and estate-planning goals since an estate-tax charitable deduction for the entire amount of the gift is allowed.
A bequest can also be made specific to a department, exhibition or program at the Museum, operating costs of the museum, and may also fund a new position at the Museum in your name.
If you have a specific bequest/planned gift that is unrelated to curatorial, collections or exhibitions please contact the Executive Director.
Suggested Giving Categories for Curatorial and Collections
An art museum's purpose is to collect, preserve, research, interpret, and present objects of artistic, historical, cultural and future importance. To inspire and educate the public.
You can donate directly to the Curatorial and Collections Department by contacting Nicole Maria Evans, Curator of Exhibitions and Collections. These donations will go to the museum's collections and exhibitions.
Through your donation we can raise funds to improve our searchable online art records, and provide the proper cataloging of our collections, in addition to enhancing the storage facilities for our collection. Your giving will make Curatorial Projects and Exhibitions possible by providing funds for curatorial research and writing, which aims to uphold the museum's collection and advocate for new creative work through exhibitions and programs that are meant to engage visitors via the arts and the humanities. You can also provide monies for artistic achievement under New Artist Project which would allow an artist to be fully funded to create new work with the purpose of exhibiting at the museum and further developing their career as an artist.
