A Letter to Home

This free community bookmaking activity, “A Letter to Home,” will invite learners to participate in exhibition tours and a workshop carried out by Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art docents and educators, organized by Eliza Weber, Director of Education. Learners will make individual pages for a collective handmade accordion book. Skills include incorporating traditional bookmaking techniques with personal narrative, through written word or visual art representation, in a non-traditional display.
Eliza Weber
Eliza is Director of Education at Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art, where she manages and facilitates a rich and vibrant studio arts education department for all ages, including multiple community outreach programs under the umbrella of The Love for The Arts Program. Eliza completed her MFA at Arizona State University. Originally from Great Falls, she received her BFA from The University of Montana. She has completed short residencies at Medalta in Alberta, Canada and The Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China. Eliza was an Artist in Residence at Pottery Northwest in Seattle, Washington, and afterwards an Instructor at Kansas State University. She served on the board of the Ceramics Research Center for two years in addition to the board for NCECA (National Council on Education of Ceramic Arts) as a Student Director at Large.
