About
At Paris Gibson Square, we are fortunate to have Liz Slot as our Education Director since 2024. She is committed to elevating our educational initiatives to new heights. Liz works with artist teachers and coordinates a robust studio art education course list for the museum's education department which includes painting, ceramics, drawing, watercolor, collage and more. She manages the museum's Love for the Arts free art education programs: Veteran Arts Program, Curative Art Collective, Senior Art, 3rd Grade Tours, and Art for Adults with Disabilities — a partnership with Easterseals-Goodwill of Great Falls. Currently, she is launching a new free program titled “Be Your Own Curator” geared towards middle school children. Among the many roles she plays as Education Director, she also works in partnership with the Chief Curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs to build the museum's new Docent Training Program.
A graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design, where she obtained her bachelor's degree in K-12 art education in 2020, Liz brings a wealth of creativity and passion to her role. Originally from Michigan, Liz chose to embark on a journey to Montana in search of fresh inspiration and a place to plant her roots. Her love for teaching goes beyond mere profession; it is a calling to nurture the arts within our community. Growing up in a family rich in creativity—her father as a skilled carpenter and her mother as a gifted natural artist—it was only fitting that Liz would embrace education as her life's work.
When she's not inspiring others through her educational endeavors, Liz dedicates her free time to enriching her surroundings—whether it's working on her home, exploring new places, gardening, or sharing joyful moments cooking with her family. Liz Slot is not just an educator; she is a vital force driving artistic growth and community connection.
