Sara K. Johnson is the Operations Manager at Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art since August, 2022. Sara’s focus as Operations Manager is Marketing, Graphic Design, and Photography. She also works on tasks and projects related to: writing and editing; office management; event planning and execution; rental coordinating; IT/Tech Support; database management; development and fundraising communications; volunteer management; and assistance in the Gift Shop when needed. 

Sara earned a B.A. in English Literature from Western Washington University, and an M.A. in Museum Studies from the University of Kansas. Her research in the museum field includes exhibition design, museum visitor experience design, virtual museum spaces, museums and gaming, and new ways to connect audiences with museum collections. She values smart, accessible, human-centered technology solutions to make museum work more visible and to help museums live out their missions. Sara previously served as the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation/Loo Family Curatorial Intern: European & American Art at the Spencer Museum of Art in Lawrence, Kansas, and the Marketing Coordinator for SAGE Community Arts in Sheridan, Wyoming. 

Sara is also a printmaker, graphic designer, and water media artist.
